9月22日，一 carg shipment of live scallops from the Russian region of East Sakhalin successfully cleared customs at Harbin Taiping International Airport. This marks the first time that soft-bodied aquatic animals have been imported through this port, expanding the variety of fresh and live seafood products available via air transport in the province.

This initial shipment weighed 300 kilograms and was divided into 12 packages. Upon arrival at太平国际机场, the scallops were promptly inspected at the airport's designated regulatory facility for imported edible aquatic animals. This new category of imports complements the existing crab varieties, including king crabs and snow crabs, previously handled by the port.
